The top section is made from solid Ohio grown Cherry. The joints
at each corner are hand cut through dovetails. This joint is traditional to the
originals and is a decorative highlight, as well as the strongest possible
joint. The Dovetail spacing is set to enhance the decorative look.

Shown above - Test fitting dovetails. You can see that these are
not only beautiful joints, but also an extremely strong ones.
Drawer construction also features handcut dovetails at all
corners. Handcut dovetails are significantly stronger than machine cut
ones.
