Variations on the theme - Some ideas that you may want to
consider in designing a tea table for you:
Proportions of the table can be varied somewhat. The proportions
I chose were taken from one in the DeWitt Wallace collection. You can still
achieve good balance with either a larger or smaller table.
This design could be adapted to a coffee table with a rescaling
of the cabriole legs and longer top.
Different moulding treatment for the top. You might consider a
mitered corner treatment instead of the hand carved corners or even replacing
the entire moulding with a brass gallery rail.
